Follow the Science?

“Following the science” is not the same thing as following the Holy Spirit, it’s not a Bible verse either.

Children of God are supposed to be led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14) in every situation and the Holy Spirit is never wrong. Science can be right about some things and science and be wrong about other things, i.e., evolution. Not even all scientists agree with one another so how would we know which science to believe, what is truth and what is not? We have the Holy Spirit in us and learning to follow him is one of the most important things we need to learn, John 16:13 says the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth. But just because he is guiding you does not automatically mean we’re following him. We have to follow the Spirit of truth to actually be IN the TRUTH. I respect and appreciate good doctors and medical experts but a medical expert's opinion is not “Thus saith The Lord”. Even though their intentions are good, doctors can make a mistake, misdiagnose simply because they are human, I have seen it happen. But the Holy Spirit knows everything about your body, he knows what you personally should do or should not do and how your body will respond to any procedure, surgery or vaccine. So do not just “follow the science” or do something because everyone else is doing it, ask the Lord first, then do what he is telling you to do and just because he is telling you to do something doesn’t mean he is telling everyone the same thing. You can only have faith in God for what he told you.

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
